In 2021, Resibo, a top name in Polish natural cosmetics, came to us with a challenge: to design the packaging for their new hair care line. We instantly knew this project would be anything but ordinary. Resibo, a brand built on the fusion of nature and innovation, wanted something unique—packaging that would do more than just hold the product; it had to reflect its entire philosophy.

Our job was clear but far from easy: to create a visual identity that would marry Resibo’s high standards with current market trends, while staying true to what the brand stands for. These packages had to be functional and tell a story about the balance between nature and modern design. Our mission was to communicate Resibo’s commitment to clean beauty, eco-friendliness, and innovative care through every design element. This was a moment when design had to become more than just a pretty face—it had to connect the brand’s values with the customer’s experience.

Drawing from Nature and Art

Creating the packaging for Resibo’s hair care line was a one-of-a-kind challenge, as it marked our first full-scope packaging design project. We dove deep into Resibo’s world once again—studying the aesthetic preferences of its founders, observing how the brand’s philosophy evolved, and learning about the new product formulations. Our concept ended up blending organic shapes with the sleekness of contemporary design.

Our sources of inspiration were far from conventional. We drew upon the world of art—drawing influence from minimalist ceramics, fluid organic sculptures, and even the natural shapes of leaves. Our ambition was to create a design that balanced functionality with artistic refinement. The pivotal moment came when we discovered how to harmonize flowing, organic shapes with a distinctive cut that defined the bottle’s unique identity. This cut, a feature especially valued by Resibo’s CEO, not only gave the packaging a striking visual appeal but also enhanced its practicality, ensuring a comfortable grip and ease of use.

A Refreshed Logo in 3D

The Hair Care line project gave us another opportunity to showcase the refreshed Resibo logo, which we had worked on extensively before. A key element of this refresh was simplifying the logo into a smooth, clean line. This phase proved crucial for the three-dimensional presentation of the logo on the packaging, once again demonstrating the value of a minimalist approach to design.

We didn’t just want to place the Resibo logo on our custom packaging; we aimed to weave it into the design itself, making it a reflection of the brand’s spirit. Collaborating closely with Resibo’s owners, we took a bold step forward, transforming the bottle’s unique cut into a space where the logo could come to life in three dimensions.

The embossed logo on this surface introduced a dynamic play of light and shadow that changes with each shift in perspective and lighting. At certain angles, the logo reveals a soft, understated elegance, while at others, it makes a more prominent visual statement. This shifting effect is designed to captivate and engage users—inviting them to turn the bottle and explore how the logo’s appearance evolves.

This innovative method of logo presentation underscores Resibo’s commitment to pushing boundaries in design. It transformed the logo from a simple branding mark into an interactive feature, enhancing the product’s premium appeal and uniqueness.

From Artistic Sketch to Refined Prototype

It all started with sketches—exploring different shapes and proportions, seeking a perfect blend of style and usability. Each sketch went through a rigorous review, looking beyond the visuals to ensure that it felt right in the hand and could be easily produced. Our goal was to find a form that naturally reflected Resibo’s philosophy, staying true to its dedication to nature and eco-conscious values.

Once the best ideas were chosen, we brought them into the digital world. With cutting-edge 3D modeling tools, our sketches took on a new life as precise digital models. This stage allowed us to perfect each curve and contour, ensuring that every detail, from the bottle’s shape to the positioning of the logo, was exactly as envisioned.

Prototyping and Perfecting the Design

The design process didn’t end with just initial sketches. Our prototyping phase was all about exploration and refinement. We created a variety of prototypes, each one allowing us to dig deeper into perfecting different aspects of the design.

Our work centered around three critical areas:

  1. Logo embossing position – We explored multiple placements to find the one that would best showcase the logo and create an engaging play of light and shadow.
  2. Cut angle and type – Different angles and styles of cuts were tested, seeking the perfect balance between style and function. Each tweak had a noticeable impact on how the bottle looked on the shelf and felt in the hand.
  3. Bottle proportions – Fine-tuning the dimensions was critical to achieving the visual impact we wanted while ensuring the packaging remained functional.

Each iteration of the prototype was reviewed in detail by our team and Resibo’s management. Even without direct feedback from testers, our experience enabled us to make the right design calls.

This hands-on prototyping process allowed us to introduce subtle yet significant enhancements. From slight curve adjustments to refining the positioning of labels—every change contributed to creating a package that’s both beautiful and easy to use. The result, achieved through many rounds of fine-tuning, proves the power of attention to detail in design, even in the absence of formal user testing. These finished prototypes are still a proud part of our portfolio, representing our passion for creating designs that are as functional as they are artistically refined.

A Color Story That Captured Customers' Hearts

Choosing the right color palette for Resibo Hair Care was a creative journey, involving countless experiments and adjustments. We aimed to craft a set of colors that would help Resibo stand out from the market competition, while also evoking the feel of boutique, premium brands often associated with high-end hair salons. This approach was intended to reflect the superior quality and exclusivity of Resibo’s products, highlighting their professional appeal.

We started with a wide array of shades, testing everything from soft pinks to various shades of green and subtle blues. Each shade was meticulously evaluated for its visual impact and its alignment with the idea of professional hair care. In the end, we opted for a refined, muted color palette that exudes both elegance and a natural vibe—perfectly in line with the aesthetic of luxury salon brands.

We added a few bold touches: a fresh neon yellow for a modern twist and a deep, rich burgundy to emphasize the products’ premium quality. The design is tied together with black caps and labels in Resibo’s signature creamy tone. This thoughtfully crafted palette not only catches the eye but also positions Resibo firmly within the high-end, professional hair care market.

This intentional blend of colors isn’t simply about aesthetics; it’s a testament to the brand’s philosophy: embracing nature (with gentle, muted shades), offering a sense of refinement (through a subtle yet premium palette), and driving innovation (with unexpected color choices). The process of finding the perfect shades underscored the power of color in building a brand’s identity and fostering a meaningful connection with consumers.

Design Meets Reality: Overcoming Technical Challenges

Designing beautiful packaging is an art, but ensuring it functions perfectly and can be produced at scale is a challenge of its own. To bring our vision to life, we worked hand-in-hand with technical specialists and mold makers, making sure that every curve and every contour was feasible for production.

One of our biggest challenges? We weren’t directly involved in user-testing the bottles. Without this direct feedback, we had to rely on our instincts and experience to predict how the product would behave in real life, especially as it got down to those last few drops. The risk was real—would our carefully crafted shape make it difficult for users to fully empty the bottle?

To address this, we honed in on several critical design aspects:

  1. Rounded bottle corners – These were meant to help the product flow more easily downward, ensuring that as little as possible remained stuck on the sides.
  2. Guided side edges – Designed with a purpose, these edges directed the flow of product toward the opening, making sure customers could access every drop.
  3. Choosing HDPE material – Resibo’s choice of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) was a win. Not only did it offer durability and ease of recycling, but its flexibility made squeezing out the last bit of product that much easier.

Even without firsthand insights from user testing, we tried to foresee potential issues and address them through thoughtful design solutions. We leaned on our past project experiences and maintained close communication with Resibo’s team, who shared their knowledge of the product’s properties. This journey reminded us of the value of flexibility in the design process and the importance of considering the product’s entire lifecycle—from the first use to the very last drop. It also showed how essential it is for designers, manufacturers, and brands to work together to create packaging that looks great but is also a pleasure to use.

Minimalism for Function and Style

When we designed the external packaging for Resibo’s line of specialized products, we chose minimalism—a design approach that not only highlights the elegance of the entire range but also serves essential marketing and practical needs.

We developed a visual system for the cartons that, through its simplicity, communicates the brand’s story thoughtfully. Every aspect of the packaging was crafted with three main goals:

  1. Easy Product Identification. Each carton’s color matches the product inside, making it easy for customers to find what they need, especially in a broad product lineup. It’s an intuitive solution that saves time and enhances the customer experience.
  2. Unified Visual Design. On two sides of each carton, we added a signature graphic that ties back to the bottle labels and the brand’s logo. This touch ensures immediate recognition while creating a visual link between the outer packaging and the essential elements of the line.
  3. Retail Display Impact. With a unified design, Resibo products create a cohesive and eye-catching presence on the shelf. No matter how they’re arranged, they always look like part of a deliberate, elegant collection.

The minimalist design of the cartons goes beyond just looking good. It’s a deliberate strategy to distinguish Resibo from the overly ornate designs of other brands. The clean look speaks to the purity of the formulas inside and the brand’s focus on natural, essential beauty.

What’s more, this simplicity has sustainability at its heart. The materials we chose are eco-friendly, and the minimalistic approach helps reduce resource use—perfectly aligning with Resibo’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
